HOD’s Welcome Message
You are welcome to the Department of English Studies – the central nerve of the University. The Department of English Studies, which is service-oriented, provides its students with sound knowledge of the English Language and Literature in English. The scope of the course in English and Literature (oral and written) is designed in the hope that ultimately when the students graduate they will be adequately equipped with a rich store of knowledge which would enable them to face the challenges of advanced literary studies, and cope with the demands of the professions, the public service, and the corporations.

PROGRAMME
The Department of English Studies offers a combination of undergraduate courses leading to the award of the B.A. (Hons.) degree in English Studies. The duration of the B.A. (Hons.) degree programme in English Studies is four (4) years for UTME candidates and three (3) years for Direct Entry candidates.
