WELCOME ADDRESS
On behalf of the Department’s staff and the management, I would like to welcome you to the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Social and Management sciences, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko. I specially welcome our new students whom God has graciously given the privilege to share in the culture of excellence that our Department is uniquely associated with. The Department is fully accredited by NUC and ICAN. It offers courses in core areas of Accounting which are anchored by resourceful Professional and dedicated academics.
In addition to our fully accredited undergraduate programme, the senate of the university has equally given the nod to the department to commence the Postgraduate programmes with effect from 2017/2018 academic session in the areas of Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master of Science (M.Sc), Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D).
The Department is committed to high standard teaching, research and mentoring through students’ Industrial trip to reputable organizations. This we are confident will expose our students to the practical knowledge and personal contacts that will help them build long-term resourceful and sustainable relationship amongst researchers and practitioners working in a wide variety of industries.
We enjoin our students to brace up for the challenge of excelling academically and to embrace the tenet/culture of honesty, transparency and accountability which are the core values of our profession.
