Admission Requirements for Environmental Biology and Fisheries
Five (5) credits in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and English Language in GCE/SSCE/NECO obtained at no more than two sittings are required for UME candidates. Candidates who successfully completed the Pre-degree (Science) programme of this University are also qualified for admission. In addition, Direct Entry candidates who possess satisfactory grades in Biology and one other science subject at GCE ‘A’ level OR Candidates with National Diploma (Upper Credit) in Fisheries, Marine Biology, Microbiology and related areas are also qualified for direct entry admission.

B.Sc. (Hons) Environmental Biology and Fisheries INFORMATION ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Environmental Biology and Fisheries (EBF) was established as one of the foundation departments of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria in 1999. The areas of research in the department are intended to improve the understanding and quality of man’s environment as regards public health, pest control, fisheries/aquaculture, environmental management, wildlife management/conservation, and molecular biology. Specifically, the teaching and learning objectives of the programme are to:
(a) give students a sound knowledge of the principles of environmental biology;
(b) make students appreciate the nature of fish and fisheries and the impact of these on human activities; and
(c) equip students with the analytical and technical skills required for tackling problems of the environment and fisheries development.
